Curriculum Revision - Biological Sciences
We are currently experiencing a revolution in our understanding of biology. Traditional boundaries are blurring, as state-of-the-art techniques and interdisciplinary approaches are changing the way we address fundamental biological questions and global challenges. Amid these advances, the study of biology requires a multidisciplinary, forward-thinking, and hands-on approach.
Therefore, we at the University of Cambridge are adapting the Biological Natural Sciences curriculum to best prepare students for the exciting future. In the updated curriculum, you will have the freedom to pursue your interests through expertly curated pathways or a more personalised combination of courses. In your first two years, you can choose courses with a strong biology focus or sample options from across biology, chemistry, material science, earth sciences, and physics.
Immersive training in the course will prepare you for a wide range of career prospects whilst walking in the footsteps of Cambridge NST pioneers, including Rosalind Franklin, David Attenborough, Jane Goodall, and Fred Sanger.
